Have You Noticed?

I just checked my former blog ( and noticed that with the now viral ads that have built an unwelcomed habitat have a new neighbor.
Directly below the ads are the words "Ads are not an endorsement by the blog author. "
No kidding. We didn't ask for the ads so why would we endorse the company that wrongfully cheated us and put their ad on our blog?
Is this supposed to be a futile attempt by AOL to lure the Exodus back to the J-Land? I don't think that this will worked. We simply asked for them to be removed in their entirety, not to have a sentence accomodate them.
If this is a step in the right direction, then who knows, maybe the ads will be gone soon. But, this is probably wishful thinking on my behalf. I'm starting to get comfortable on Blogspot. I don't know if I'd want to return to J-Land.

The ad's on AOL are there to stay. Did you see the post on Magic Smoke's from the AOL talking head? Check it out. BTW, I tagged you for a meme on ten things that make you happy. Check it out on my blog here.

Hope things are going well for you,
Auntie Lyn

I think wherever we go, WE are JLand... AOL doesn't have special ownership on that name. It names a group of people, not some AOL ad infested space. (People are resigned that the ads are staying, but I say that our protests caused the disclaimer, so at least we made the giant blink.)

Peace, Virginia

I'm glad you're feeling at home here. I think a lot of us are. Are finals coming up for you? Mine are next week. Looking forward to getting them finished!
